RPF Pays Tribute to Fallen Police Personnel at National Police Memorial Ceremony
The ceremony, conducted during the third week of the month, began with the laying of floral tributes at the National Police Memorial. The tribute was offered by Maheshwar Singh, Inspector General (Administration), Railway Board, who paid homage to the brave police personnel who laid down their lives in service to the nation.
A rendition of Vande Mataram during the Band Display added solemnity and patriotic fervour to the event, underscoring the spirit of remembrance and national pride. The programme continued with the felicitation of families of martyrs, followed by a ceremonial Band Display, Parade and Retreat Ceremony.
As part of the event, the family of Late S.N. Dubey, former Head Constable of South East Central Railway, was specially honoured in recognition of his exemplary courage and supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. The felicitation served as a tribute to his dedication and commitment to public service.
The ceremony witnessed the participation of RPF officers, personnel and family members of martyrs, reflecting the force’s continued commitment to honouring the bravery, dedication and sacrifice of police personnel across the country.
Officials said the observances at the National Police Memorial are aimed at keeping alive the memory of fallen heroes and expressing the nation’s gratitude towards their invaluable service.
