Mathura, Bhuteshwar Yard Remodelling: Railways Announces Additional Train Cancellations

The Indian Railways has announced additional cancellations and operational changes to several trains in connection with ongoing yard remodelling work at Mathura and Bhuteshwar stations on the Palwal–Mathura rail section. The changes have been introduced in view of operational requirements associated with the infrastructure work.

According to the Railway administration, several trains that were earlier scheduled for cancellation from October 10 have now been cancelled for additional days. The revised arrangements will affect passenger services operating between Agra Cantt, Palwal, Mathura, Alwar, Runda and other stations.

The yard remodelling work at Mathura and Bhuteshwar is aimed at improving railway infrastructure and operational arrangements in the section. Since such work requires changes in train movements and traffic management, the Railway administration has revised the earlier announced schedule of cancellations and short-termination/origination arrangements.

Additional Train Cancellations

Four daily services numbered 01941, 01942, 01943 and 01944 have been cancelled from October 8 to October 10 instead of only October 10 as previously announced.

Train No. 01941, operating from Agra Cantt to Palwal, and Train No. 01942, operating from Palwal to Agra Cantt, will remain cancelled from October 8 to October 10.

Similarly, Train No. 01943, running from Agra Cantt to Runda, and Train No. 01944, operating from Runda to Agra Cantt, will also remain cancelled during the same period.

The Railway administration has also revised the cancellation period for Train Nos. 51971 and 51972, which operate between Mathura and Alwar. Both daily services will now remain cancelled from October 9 to October 10.

Train No. 64957, operating from Agra Cantt to Palwal, will be cancelled from October 9 to October 10. Train No. 64958, operating from Palwal to Agra Cantt, will remain cancelled from October 10 to October 11.

Short-Termination and Origination Arrangements Revised

The Railways has also made changes to trains for which short-termination or short-origination had earlier been announced. Instead of terminating or originating at intermediate stations, these services will now be completely cancelled for the specified dates.

Train No. 64016, operating from Shakurbasti to Mathura, was earlier scheduled for short termination at Palwal on October 10. It will now be completely cancelled from its originating station from October 9 to October 10.

Similarly, Train No. 64019, operating from Mathura to Shakurbasti, was earlier scheduled to originate from Palwal. The service will now remain completely cancelled from October 9 to October 10.

Train No. 64904, running from Ghaziabad to Mathura, was earlier planned for short termination at Kosi Kalan on October 10. Under the revised arrangement, the train will be completely cancelled from October 9 to October 10.

Train No. 64903, operating from Mathura to Ghaziabad, was earlier scheduled to originate from Kosi Kalan on October 11. It will now remain completely cancelled from October 10 to October 11.

Another Mathura–Shakurbasti service, Train No. 64905, which was earlier planned for short origination from Kosi Kalan on October 11, will also be completely cancelled from October 10 to October 11.

Train No. 64910, operating from Shakurbasti to Mathura, was earlier scheduled for short termination at Kosi Kalan on October 10. It will now be completely cancelled from its originating station from October 9 to October 10.

The changes will also affect services between Dhaulpur and New Delhi. Train No. 64073, operating from Dhaulpur to New Delhi, was earlier scheduled for short termination at Kosi Kalan on October 10. It will now be cancelled completely from October 9 to October 10.

Train No. 64074, operating from New Delhi to Dhaulpur, will also be completely cancelled from October 9 to October 10 instead of being short-originated from Kosi Kalan.

Revised Schedule for Passengers

The additional cancellations are likely to affect passengers travelling through the Mathura–Bhuteshwar section during the yard remodelling period. The Railway administration has advised passengers to check the latest status of their trains before beginning their journey.

Passengers have specifically been advised to use the Railway helpline 139 or check the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) app and website for the latest information regarding train cancellations, changes and operational status.

The Railway administration has requested passengers to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

The yard remodelling work at Mathura and Bhuteshwar is part of infrastructure-related operational improvements on the Palwal–Mathura rail section. While the temporary cancellations may cause inconvenience to passengers, the revised traffic arrangements are intended to facilitate the safe and efficient execution of the work.

Railway authorities have also indicated that passengers should rely on the latest operational updates rather than earlier schedules, as train movements may be subject to further changes depending on the progress and operational requirements of the yard remodelling work.
