Arunachal Bhawan Organises Mega Free Health Camp in Delhi; Over 275 Beneficiaries Avail Medical Services

A first-of-its-kind large-scale “Free Wellness Activities & Health Check-up Camp” was successfully organised at Arunachal Bhawan on May 14, 2026, in collaboration with Medanta – The Medicity. The mega healthcare initiative witnessed overwhelming participation and emerged as a landmark effort in promoting preventive healthcare and wellness awareness among people connected with the Arunachal Pradesh community in the national capital.

More than 275 beneficiaries availed themselves of the free medical services during the camp. Participants included staff members and families residing at Arunachal Bhawan, Arunachal House, Arunachal Sadan and Arunachal Niwas, along with nearby taxi drivers and staff members associated with the residence of Union Minister Kiren Rijiju.

The comprehensive health camp offered a wide range of medical services and diagnostic tests free of cost. These included general physician consultations, vitals check-ups, Random Blood Sugar (RBS) tests, Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT), Bone Mineral Density (BMD) screening, ECG examinations, HbA1c tests, and specialised consultations with cardiologists and dieticians.

Officials said the initiative aimed to encourage early diagnosis, preventive healthcare awareness and healthier lifestyles among people who often do not get access to regular medical screenings.

The entire programme was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Dr. S.K. Singh, CMO-cum-OSD at Arunachal Bhawan, New Delhi. The event was supported by a dedicated team of doctors, healthcare professionals, officials and volunteers who ensured smooth execution of the camp.

Organisers described the initiative as a significant step towards accessible healthcare and community wellness. They said the camp reflected a strong commitment to social responsibility and public health service, particularly for people associated with Arunachal Pradesh living in Delhi and nearby regions.

Participants expressed appreciation for the free medical facilities and consultations provided during the camp. Many attendees highlighted that such initiatives are especially beneficial for workers, drivers and lower-income groups who often postpone regular health check-ups due to financial constraints.

The organisers also extended gratitude to all doctors, healthcare professionals, volunteers and participants whose cooperation and support contributed to the success of the mega wellness camp.

Meanwhile, another healthcare initiative associated with Dr. S.K. Singh recently received appreciation from the Mayarasa Foundation for humanitarian service and healthcare support in Arunachal Pradesh.

The foundation praised Dr. Singh for his contribution during a Free Medical Health Camp organised by the NGO at Itanagar on May 7, 2026. According to the foundation, the camp became a symbol of compassion and public service, benefiting poor elderly citizens, widowed women and underprivileged communities.

Dr. Singh travelled from Delhi to Arunachal Pradesh to participate in the initiative, where he provided free medical consultations, health awareness counselling and distribution of medicines to people in need.

The foundation stated that over the past five years, Dr. Singh has continuously worked for the welfare of people from Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast, especially patients referred to Delhi for advanced medical treatment. Through coordination with leading hospitals such as AIIMS, Medanta – The Medicity, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, many patients reportedly received advanced treatment, surgeries and medical support.

Apart from healthcare services, Dr. Singh has also assisted distressed families during emergencies by helping transport mortal remains of deceased persons from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Mumbai and other parts of the country back to Arunachal Pradesh with dignity.

The foundation noted that his assistance during medical emergencies, hospital admissions, embalming procedures, cargo arrangements and patient counselling reflects extraordinary dedication towards humanitarian service.

Mayarasa Foundation expressed gratitude for his support through the distribution of medicine kits and healthcare assistance during the Itanagar camp, stating that such efforts continue to strengthen values of humanity, compassion and social responsibility.

The organisation said Dr. S.K. Singh’s work exemplifies the spirit of “Service to Humanity is the Greatest Service to Society,” and acknowledged his continued commitment towards the welfare of people from Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast.
