CDS General Anil Chauhan Reviews Operational Readiness of Chinar Corps, Emphasises Multi-Domain Preparedness

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan, visited the strategically significant areas under Chinar Corps in Srinagar today, reviewing operational preparedness and security arrangements along the Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir. During his visit, he lauded the formation’s professionalism, doctrinal coherence, and exemplary operational readiness. At Baramulla, he was briefed on the Future Force Application & Technology Infusion initiatives.
Addressing officers of the Chinar Corps, General Chauhan underscored the evolving character of warfare, highlighting the urgent need to transition from a Domain-Centric Approach to Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) supported by a robust and integrated framework. He stressed the importance of jointness, noting that seamless integration across Land, Air, Maritime, Cyber, Space, and Cognitive domains is critical to achieving decisive outcomes.
The CDS called for accelerated Joint Training for Futuristic Warfare, harmonisation of doctrines, and development of interoperable command and control structures to enable coordinated effects across all domains. He emphasised that addressing emerging security challenges requires a deliberate roadmap focused on technological adaptation, cognitive resilience, and collective preparedness through integrated efforts.
“Preparation for future threats must be anchored in foresight, innovation, a unified warfighting philosophy, and a Whole-of-Nation approach,” General Chauhan said. He highlighted the importance of operational readiness, resilience, and strategic foresight to maintain dominance across the full spectrum of conflict.
During the visit, General Chauhan exhorted all ranks to maintain operational excellence, embrace jointness as a way of life, and stay prepared for evolving challenges. He also interacted with representatives of the civil administration, prominent personalities, and local functionaries in Baramulla, reviewing ongoing efforts toward nation-building and regional development.
This visit reinforces the Indian Armed Forces’ commitment to maintaining strategic preparedness, enhancing technological and operational integration, and strengthening civil-military coordination in sensitive regions.
