Fire Incident on New Delhi-Darbhanga Clone Express Sparks Panic among Passengers

Quick Action by Station Master Ensures Safety on Train 02570 Passing Through Sarai Bhopat Station

A moment of chaos unfolded aboard the New Delhi-Darbhanga Clone Express as a significant tremor of panic swept through the passengers when a fire broke out in three coaches near Etawah. Quick response from the Fire Department saw several fire trucks rushing to the scene to extinguish the flames and prevent further escalation.

The incident was reported in coach S1 of train number 02570 as it was passing through Sarai Bhopat Station. The vigilant station master promptly detected smoke and took immediate action, bringing the train to a halt. All passengers were safely evacuated, and fortunately, no serious injuries or casualties were reported.

The Fire Department is actively engaged in efforts to extinguish the fire, with initial assessments pointing towards a possible short circuit as the cause. Though a few passengers sustained minor injuries, the situation is currently under control.

SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma provided updates, stating, “Efforts are underway to resume the journey of the train, and there have been no reports of serious injuries or casualties. The train is expected to resume its journey after a short delay.” Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident and ensure the safety of passengers in future journeys.
