East Central Railway (ECR) General Manager Dimpy Garg conducted a window trailing inspection of the Hajipur-Ara rail section on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, via the Pataliputra-Danapur route. During the inspection, he reviewed the condition of railway tracks, bridges and other critical railway infrastructure along the section, emphasising the importance of infrastructure maintenance and operational safety.

The inspection was aimed at assessing the condition of railway infrastructure and ensuring that all necessary measures are being taken to maintain safe and efficient train operations. During the journey, the General Manager closely examined the railway track and bridges along the route and reviewed their maintenance standards.

Expressing satisfaction over the upkeep of the railway tracks, Garg appreciated the maintenance efforts and directed railway officials to take all possible measures to ensure safe train operations. Review of Ara Junction redevelopment work

During his visit to Ara Junction, the ECR General Manager inspected various passenger areas, including the circulating area and platforms. He reviewed the availability of passenger amenities, cleanliness arrangements and safety-related facilities at the station.

Particular attention was given to the ongoing redevelopment work being undertaken at Ara Junction under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Garg visited the construction sites to assess the progress of the redevelopment project and reviewed the work being executed by the concerned officials.

He instructed the officials to ensure that all construction activities are completed within the stipulated timeframe without compromising on quality. He emphasised that the redevelopment work should adhere to prescribed standards and that modern passenger facilities should be provided as part of the station’s transformation.

The redevelopment of Ara Junction is intended to improve the overall passenger experience by upgrading station infrastructure, enhancing accessibility and providing modern amenities. The project also aims to give the station a more organised and attractive appearance while meeting the requirements of growing passenger traffic.

Modern station building to feature upgraded passenger facilities

As part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the redeveloped Ara Junction will have an attractive station building featuring a modern architectural design. The upgraded infrastructure is expected to incorporate advanced and improved passenger amenities, providing a more comfortable and convenient travel experience.

The redevelopment initiative is part of Indian Railways’ broader efforts to modernise railway stations across the country. Under the scheme, selected stations are being upgraded with improved circulation areas, better passenger facilities, enhanced infrastructure and aesthetically designed station buildings.

The emphasis on timely completion and construction quality reflects the railway administration’s focus on ensuring that infrastructure development translates into tangible benefits for passengers.
