Thunderstorm Winds Lash Northwest India, Kishangarh Records 102 Kmph Gust

Strong thunderstorms triggered damaging wind gusts across Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, with several locations reporting speeds above 60 kmph.

Strong thunderstorm winds swept across parts of Northwest India on Friday afternoon and evening, with the highest wind gust of 102 kmph recorded at Kishangarh Airport in Rajasthan. Sirisha Canal Colony reported 83 kmph, while Jaipur registered 76 kmph and Palam (Delhi) recorded 70 kmph.

Several locations in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan also witnessed strong winds, including Bhatinda, Karnal, Jind, and Karauli at 68 kmph, Sangrur at 67 kmph, and Pant Nagar at 65 kmph.

In the Delhi-NCR region, wind speeds reached 59 kmph at Pragati Maidan, 54 kmph at Pusa, and 41 kmph at IGNOU, indicating widespread thunderstorm activity across the region.
