North Central Railway Conducts Passenger Outreach at Prayagraj Junction and Onboard Netaji Express

The Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway (NCR) has conducted a series of passenger outreach programmes under its ‘Rail Jan Samvad’ initiative to gather feedback on railway services, cleanliness, safety and passenger amenities. Senior railway officials interacted directly with passengers at several stations and onboard trains to understand their travel experiences, identify problems and obtain suggestions for improving railway facilities.

The initiative aims to strengthen communication between railway officials and passengers while ensuring that passenger concerns receive appropriate attention. Feedback collected during these interactions will help the division identify areas requiring improvement and enhance the overall quality of rail travel.

DRM Interacts with Passengers at Prayagraj Junction

Leading the initiative at Prayagraj Junction, Rajneesh Agrawal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Prayagraj Division, interacted with passengers and listened to their experiences, concerns and suggestions regarding railway services.

During the interaction, passengers shared their views on available facilities, station cleanliness and other aspects of their journeys. The DRM sought feedback on how passenger amenities could be improved to make railway travel safer, cleaner and more convenient.

As part of the outreach programme, Agrawal also interacted with passengers onboard Train No. 13051, the Netaji Express. He sought feedback on cleanliness inside the train and the facilities available to passengers during their journey.

Based on the feedback received, the DRM directed the concerned railway officials to take necessary steps to address passenger concerns and ensure improvements wherever required.

M. M. Waris, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations), and Vikram Singh Kohli, Senior Divisional Manager (Housekeeping and Maintenance), were also present during the interaction.

The onboard interaction was aimed at obtaining first-hand information about the condition of passenger coaches and the effectiveness of housekeeping and other onboard services.

Passenger Feedback Collected at Multiple Stations

The Rail Jan Samvad initiative was also conducted at other important stations across the Prayagraj Division, with senior officials engaging directly with passengers.

At Prayagraj Chheoki Junction, Deepak Kumar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (General), interacted with passengers to understand their difficulties and collect suggestions regarding railway facilities.

At Manikpur Junction, Sh e erat Fatima, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Freight), held discussions with passengers and sought feedback on the amenities available at the station.

Similarly, at Fatehpur Junction, the Senior Divisional Signal and Telecommunications Engineer interacted with passengers as part of the outreach initiative.

At Kanpur Central, Assistant Commercial Manager Pawan Kumar and Assistant Environment and Maintenance Manager Anurag Chaudhary spoke with passengers about station cleanliness and the availability and quality of passenger amenities.

These interactions provided railway officials with opportunities to understand passenger expectations at different locations and assess areas where improvements might be necessary.

Focus on Cleanliness and Passenger Amenities

Cleanliness, maintenance and the availability of essential passenger facilities remain important aspects of railway service delivery. Through Rail Jan Samvad, the Prayagraj Division is seeking to encourage passengers to share their experiences directly with officials responsible for railway operations and maintenance.

Passenger feedback can help identify issues that may not always be apparent during routine inspections. Direct interaction also allows railway officials to understand passengers’ priorities and evaluate the effectiveness of existing arrangements.

The initiative brings together officials from different departments, including operations, commercial services, housekeeping, maintenance and signalling, reflecting the need for coordinated efforts to improve the passenger experience.

The division aims to use the suggestions received during these interactions to guide corrective measures and improve service standards wherever necessary.

Prayagraj Division Reaffirms Commitment to Better Rail Services

The Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway has reiterated its commitment to improving passenger convenience and satisfaction through continuous monitoring and feedback-based improvements.

The Rail Jan Samvad initiative is intended to promote greater engagement between railway authorities and passengers, helping officials better understand public expectations and respond to concerns related to station facilities, onboard cleanliness and other services.

By conducting interactions at multiple stations and onboard the Netaji Express, the division is seeking to make passenger feedback an important part of its efforts to improve railway services.

The initiative underscores the importance of listening to passengers and using their suggestions to work towards a cleaner, safer and more comfortable travel experience across the railway network.
