20 Railway Employees Honoured for Outstanding Safety Work in Prayagraj Division
The Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway honoured 20 employees for their alertness, vigilance and exemplary contribution to safe railway operations at a safety award ceremony held on September 28, 2026.
The awards were presented by Prayagraj Divisional Railway Manager Rajneesh Agrawal at the Divisional Railway Manager’s office auditorium. The employees were recognised for demonstrating vigilance and a strong sense of responsibility while performing their duties, thereby contributing to the safe and secure operation of trains and railway infrastructure.
The ceremony was attended by senior railway officials, including Additional Divisional Railway Manager (General) Deepak Kumar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Infrastructure) Dhananjay Kumar Singh, Senior Divisional Safety Officer U.C. Shukla, Senior Divisional Operations Manager (Goods & General) Mayank Rana, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (Operations) Akash Shrinetra, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (Coaching) Shiv Singh, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer (O&F) Vikas Chaurasia, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (Coaching) Pulkit Srivastava, Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) Mohammad Javed Akhtar and Senior Divisional Signal & Telecommunication Engineer (Coordination) Pramod Kumar, along with other officers and inspectors.
Addressing the award recipients, DRM Rajneesh Agrawal appreciated their dedication and responsible approach to their duties. He said that the employees had discharged their responsibilities carefully and had contributed to maintaining railway safety through their alertness and effective performance.
Agrawal encouraged the awardees to continue demonstrating the same level of commitment in the future. He also highlighted the importance of setting an example for fellow railway employees, noting that good performance by one employee can motivate others to improve their own work.
He emphasised that safe and secure railway operations are a collective responsibility, requiring vigilance and coordination among employees working across different departments.

The diversity of the awardees reflects the role played by employees from different railway disciplines in maintaining operational safety. Pointsmen and station masters are responsible for critical station and train movement functions, while loco pilots and assistant loco pilots directly contribute to safe train operations.
Similarly, track maintenance personnel, signalling and telecommunications staff, and carriage and wagon personnel play important roles in ensuring that railway infrastructure, signalling systems, rolling stock and tracks remain safe for operations.
The recognition of these 20 employees underscores the importance of individual alertness and timely action in preventing safety-related incidents.
