Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Annual GPAI Summit, Showcasing India’s Leadership in AI
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the annual Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit on December 12th at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. India, a lead chair of GPAI in 2024 and a founding member since 2020, will host the three-day summit from December 12th to 14th, 2023.
GPAI, a multi-stakeholder initiative comprising 29 member-countries, focuses on bridging the gap between AI theory and practice through cutting-edge research and applied activities. The summit will feature diverse sessions on AI and global health, education, skilling, data governance, and machine learning workshops. Additional highlights include the Research Symposium, AI Gamechangers Award, and India AI Expo.
The event will bring together over 50 GPAI experts and 150+ speakers from across the globe. Notable industry leaders, including Intel, Reliance Jio, Google, Meta, AWS, Yotta, Netweb, Paytm, Microsoft, Mastercard, NIC, STPI, Immerse, Jio Haptik, and Bhashini, will participate. The summit also provides a platform for YUVA AI initiative winners, showcasing their AI models and solutions, along with contributions from startups.
