Special Festival Trains Announced for the Upcoming Season

New Delhi, October 10, 2023 – In preparation for the festive season, Northern Railway is set to operate a series of special festival trains, providing convenience to passengers and accommodating the expected surge in traffic. A total of 58 trips have been scheduled for these reserved festival special trains, connecting various destinations including Anand Vihar Terminal, Jaynagar, Jogbani, Gorakhpur, Saharsa, and New Delhi to Darbhanga.

Details of the Festival Special Trains:

1. Anand Vihar Terminal – Jaynagar – Anand Vihar Terminal Festival Special Express (14 Trips)

Scheduled from November 7, 2023, to November 29, 2023, this special train will run every Tuesday and Friday from Anand Vihar Terminal to Jaynagar, and every Wednesday and Saturday from Jaynagar to Anand Vihar Terminal. The train will cover various important stations en route, including Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Varanasi, and more. It will consist of AC, Sleeper, and General Class accommodations.

2. Anand Vihar Terminal – Gorakhpur – Anand Vihar Terminal Special Express (8 Trips)

Operating every Saturday from November 4, 2023, to November 25, 2023, the Anand Vihar Terminal to Gorakhpur special train will provide service to travelers along the route. The return journey from Gorakhpur to Anand Vihar Terminal will occur every Sunday during the same period. This train will include AC and Sleeper Class accommodations.

3. Anand Vihar Terminal – Jogbani – Anand Vihar Terminal Special Express (8 Trips)

For passengers traveling between Anand Vihar Terminal and Jogbani, there will be a special train available on Tuesdays from November 7, 2023, to November 28, 2023. The return journey from Jogbani to Anand Vihar Terminal will take place on Thursdays from November 9, 2023, to November 30, 2023. The train will stop at several important stations, and passengers can choose from AC, Sleeper, and General Class seating.

4. Anand Vihar Terminal – Saharsa – Anand Vihar Terminal Festival Special Express (14 Trips)

Running every Monday from October 16, 2023, to November 27, 2023, this festival special train connects Anand Vihar Terminal and Saharsa. The return journey from Saharsa to Anand Vihar Terminal is available on Tuesdays from October 17, 2023, to December 28, 2023. The train will stop at various stations, including Hapur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, and more.

5. New Delhi – Darbhanga – New Delhi Festival Special Express (14 Trips)

Passengers traveling between New Delhi and Darbhanga can avail themselves of the festival special express train. It will operate every Tuesday and Friday from November 7, 2023, to November 29, 2023, for the journey to Darbhanga, and every Wednesday and Saturday for the return journey to New Delhi from November 8, 2023, to November 29, 2023.

The festival special trains aim to ease the travel experience for passengers during the festive season. These trains will offer various classes of accommodation, including AC, Sleeper, and General Class.
