Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023 Commences as First Batch Embarks on Journey to the Holy Cave from Baltal Base Camp
Ganderbal, July 1: The annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023 kicked off today with the departure of the first batch of pilgrims from the Domail, Baltal base camp in Ganderbal. The group was flagged off by Dr. Raghav Langer, Secretary of the Planning Development & Monitoring Department and the Nodal Officer for Yatra via the Baltal Axis.
The event witnessed the presence of Deputy Commissioner of Ganderbal, Shyambir, SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar, Camp Director of Baltal, and the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) of Ganderbal, along with other officials from the district administration, police, and various security agencies.
Amidst an atmosphere filled with devotion, the pilgrims were seen fervently reciting religious hymns as they embarked on their journey towards the sacred Amarnath Shrine located in the Holy Cave of Lord Shiva.
It is noteworthy that all essential arrangements have been meticulously made at the base camps and along the route to the Holy Cave to ensure the comfort, convenience, and safety of the devotees undertaking this pious pilgrimage. Adequate provisions for basic amenities, healthcare facilities, and security measures have been put in place to accommodate the influx of pilgrims in the region.
The commencement of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023 marks a significant moment for devotees who are eagerly embracing this spiritual journey amidst an atmosphere of faith and devotion.
