Fresh Low-Pressure Area Over South Andaman Sea Likely to Intensify
Meanwhile, a separate low-pressure area persisted over the south Andaman Sea and neighbouring areas as of 8:30 am on October 29.

Thereafter, it is expected to continue moving west-northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal, adjoining Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the Andaman Sea during the subsequent 24 hours.
The development of this system will be monitored closely as it progresses over the Bay of Bengal region.
The IMD’s latest assessment indicates that the remnants of Cyclone Arnab are expected to weaken further over central India, while the separate system over the south Andaman Sea could strengthen over the next two days.
