Calling it a proud occasion for the nation, Mr. Modi said the Summit demonstrates how India is rapidly advancing in science and technology and playing a meaningful role in global development. He emphasized that the enthusiasm and innovation shown by Indian youth are central to the country’s AI journey.
Invoking an ancient Sanskrit subhashitam, the Prime Minister shared a verse that highlights the abundance of knowledge, discipline and wisdom in the world:

The verse conveys that charity, discipline, purity, knowledge, humility and ethics are ever-present in the world, and one should not be surprised because the earth is rich with countless gems. By quoting the shloka, the Prime Minister linked India’s technological achievements with the country’s civilizational values rooted in wisdom and ethical conduct.

Policymakers and technology leaders are exploring how AI can be deployed responsibly to enhance productivity while safeguarding privacy, security and ethical standards.
The Prime Minister reiterated that India’s digital public infrastructure, thriving startup ecosystem and large pool of skilled youth provide a strong foundation for AI-led growth. He noted that the summit is not merely a technology event but a symbol of India’s aspirations to contribute meaningfully to shaping the global AI discourse.
Observers see the Summit as part of India’s broader strategy to position itself as a leader in emerging technologies while ensuring that innovation remains people-centric.
