Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Inspects Delhi Division Control Room and Discusses Key Issues

The Rail Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, made an official visit to the Delhi division control room in Delhi today, emphasizing the importance of efficient railway operations and safety. During his visit, he held extensive meetings with the DivisionL team, focusing on various aspects of controller experiences and maintenance staff.

In a three-hour session, Minister Vaishnaw engaged with staff and officers to gain insights into their recent experiences, particularly regarding the challenges and benefits associated with moving blocks, planning, and efficient train operations. The discussions centered around finding effective solutions and improving the overall functioning of the railway system.

Furthermore, Minister Vaishnaw emphasized the need for a foolproof system to enhance operational efficiency and ensure passenger safety. He stressed the importance of meticulous planning and execution to minimize disruptions and optimize the railway network’s performance.

As part of his visit, Minister Vaishnaw toured each control office within the division, including Section Control, Coaching Control, Freight Control, Engineering Control, Carriage and Wagons Control, Signal & Telecommunication (S&T), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Train Running Department (TRD), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) units. This allowed him to gain a comprehensive understanding of the division’s operations and interact with the dedicated personnel responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of different departments.

The Rail Minister’s visit to the Delhi division control room reflects the government’s commitment to improving the railway infrastructure and addressing the concerns of staff and officers. By actively engaging with the division’s control room and assessing key areas, Minister Vaishnaw aims to implement necessary reforms that will enhance the overall efficiency and reliability of railway services in the region.
