Indian Railways Renames Ayodhya Junction to Ayodhya Dham Junction: New Temple-Inspired Station Unveiled
In a significant move, the Indian Railways has officially changed the name of Ayodhya Junction to Ayodhya Dham Junction, according to a recently issued notification. The decision follows the expressed desire of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who during an inspection, conveyed the wish to rename the station as Ayodhya Dham.
In alignment with the temple theme, the Railway authorities have unveiled a new and aesthetically designed building for Ayodhya Dham Junction. The renaming and redevelopment aim to enhance the cultural and spiritual significance of the station.
Ayodhya Dham Junction is set to make its debut on the railway map with a grand inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30. The event will witness the flagging off of six Vande Bharat Express trains and two Amrit Bharat trains, showcasing the national flag with pride. Simultaneously, the new station will be open to the general public, marking a milestone in the region’s railway infrastructure development.
