Ajni Station Redevelopment: RLDA Spearheads Transformation at a Cost of 297.79 Crores

In a strategic move aimed at enhancing railway infrastructure, the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has taken charge of the ambitious Ajni Station redevelopment project, allocating a budget of 297.79 crores for the comprehensive transformation.

Completed Achievements:

  • Soil Investigation: A thorough soil investigation has been successfully conducted to ensure the foundation’s stability.
  • Site Lab Inauguration: The commissioning of a site laboratory marks a pivotal step in maintaining construction precision.
  • Labour Hutment Establishment: The completion of labor hutments ensures conducive working conditions for the workforce.
  • Quarters and Structures Dismantling: The dismantling of 23 old quarters and abandoned structures has been accomplished.
  • Type IV Staff Quarter Construction: Excavation, Plain Cement Concrete (PCC), footing and column casting, backfilling, plinth beam casting, and stilt floor slab casting for two Type IV staff quarters have been completed.
  • Block A Advancements: Column casting for Block A has reached the 1st-floor slab, with the 1st-floor slab casting being successfully completed.
  • Block B Progress: Column casting for Block B has been completed up to the 1st floor.
  • East Side Station Building Development: Excavation for the East Side station building has been completed, along with footing casting and column casting up to the plinth level. Plinth beam casting is 30% complete.
  • Batching Plant and Weigh Bridge Installations: The installation and calibration of the batching plant and the completion of the weigh bridge installation signify crucial developments.
  • West Side Foundation Work: Excavation and PCC work for footing on the West side, including foundation and plinth beam casting for the temporary relocation of the station building, have been successfully completed.
  • Steel Erection and Aerocon Panel Fixing: Steel erection and PCC work, along with aerocon panel fixing, have been completed, contributing to the structural integrity of the redevelopment.

Ongoing Endeavors:

  • Staging for 1st Floor Slab: The staging for the 1st-floor slab is currently in progress.
  • Reinforcement Binding: Progress stands at 50% for reinforcement binding in the remaining areas.
  • Finishing Work: Ongoing finishing work, including the provision of staircases and ramps, is in progress.
