In a weather update, dense fog conditions have been reported in various parts of North India, causing disruptions in train schedules. As of 0530 hours IST today, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) noted Very Dense Fog in isolated pockets of East Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar. Additionally, Dense Fog has been observed in isolated areas of West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, with Moderate Fog affecting isolated pockets of Jammu Division, Haryana, and East Madhya Pradesh.

The foggy weather has led to a series of delays in train arrivals, particularly in the Delhi area. The late arrivals have been attributed to reduced visibility and challenging travel conditions. As of the position dated January 3, 2024, several trains are running behind schedule, causing inconvenience for passengers.
