Railway Protection Force to Host 67th All India Police Duty Meet in Lucknow
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is gearing up to host the prestigious 67th All India Police Duty Meet (AIPDM) from February 12th to 16th, 2024, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The event, known for fostering excellence and collaboration among law enforcement officers, aims to enhance the scientific detection and investigation of crimes to bolster internal security.
The opening ceremony on February 12th will witness the esteemed presence of Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, Communications, and Electronics & Information Technology, while the closing ceremony on February 16th will be graced by Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
Endorsed by the Central Coordinating Committee of AIPDM, the responsibility of organizing this event has been entrusted to the RPF. With participants from 29 law enforcement agencies of the center and states, comprising 1230 members, the meet promises to be a platform for learning, collaboration, and skill enhancement.
Featuring a plethora of competitions including Scientific Aids to Investigation, Police Photography, Computer Awareness, Special Canine Unit contests, Anti-sabotage checks, and Police Videography, the event is poised to refine the abilities of law enforcement personnel and foster the exchange of best practices.
All competitions will take place at the Jagjivan Ram RPF Academy, Lucknow, established in 1955 under the Ministry of Railways, renowned for its training programs catering to various cadres within the RPF.
In a significant stride towards modernization, the Director General of Railway Protection Force, Shri Manoj Yadava, has launched a dedicated mobile application and website for the 67th All India Police Duty Meet. These digital platforms, equipped with features such as Autobot-based multi-lingual chat support, aim to streamline communication, provide real-time updates, and facilitate seamless participation for attendees.
Moreover, the app and website reinforce the commitment to advancing the use of technology in investigative duties, offering courses in newly emerging domains such as Cyber Crime and Disaster Management.
The Railway Protection Force, with its commendable track record in safeguarding railway property and ensuring passenger safety since 2004, takes pride in its 9% representation of women, the highest among all armed forces in India.
