PM Narendra Modi Dedicates ‘Yashobhoomi’ Convention and Expo Centre and Launches ‘PM Vishwakarma’ Scheme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a momentous occasion today as he dedicated Phase 1 of the India International Convention and Expo Centre, ‘Yashobhoomi,’ to the nation in Dwarka, New Delhi. This sprawling facility includes a magnificent Convention Centre, multiple Exhibition halls, and a host of other amenities.

About ‘Yashobhoomi’:
‘Yashobhoomi,’ a visionary project of Prime Minister Modi, spans over 8.9 lakh square meters, making it one of the world’s largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities. Developed at a cost of approximately Rs. 5400 crore, it features a grand Convention Centre, vast Exhibition halls, and cutting-edge amenities.
The Convention Center includes 15 convention rooms, including the Main Auditorium, the Grand ballroom, and 13 meeting rooms with a total capacity of 11,000 delegates. Notably, the Convention center boasts the country’s largest LED media facade. The Exhibition halls, covering over 1.07 lakh square meters, will host exhibitions, trade fairs, and business events.
Sustainability is a top priority for ‘Yashobhoomi,’ with features such as a wastewater treatment system with 100% wastewater reuse and rainwater harvesting. It has also received a Platinum certification from CII’s Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

The ‘PM Vishwakarma Scheme’ aims to empower traditional artisans and craftspeople by providing recognition, skill upgradation, toolkit incentives, collateral-free credit support, and marketing assistance.
