Konkan Railway Announces Additional Summer Special Trains Between Madgaon and Panvel

Konkan Railway has announced the operation of additional summer special trains between Madgaon Junction and Panvel to manage the heavy passenger rush during the Summer Season 2026. The move is expected to provide major relief to travellers heading between Goa, Maharashtra, and the Konkan region during the holiday period.

Train No. 01106 Madgaon Junction–Panvel Weekly Summer Special will depart from Madgaon Junction at 4:30 PM on May 24 and May 31, 2026, both Sundays, and will arrive at Panvel at 4:00 AM the following day.

In the return direction, Train No. 01105 Panvel–Madgaon Junction Weekly Summer Special will leave Panvel at 5:45 AM on May 25 and June 1, 2026, both Mondays, and will reach Madgaon Junction at 6:10 PM on the same day.

The special trains will halt at several important stations including Karmali, Thivim, Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Sindhudurg, Kankavali, Vaibhavwadi Road, Rajapur Road, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Khed, Mangaon, Roha, and Pen.

According to Konkan Railway, the train will run with a total of 23 coaches, including 3 AC 3-Tier coaches, 11 Sleeper coaches, 7 General coaches, and 2 SLR/D coaches, ensuring enhanced passenger capacity during the peak travel season.
