Indian Railways Extends Operation of Danapur-SMVT Bengaluru Special Train Amid Heavy Rush

In a major relief for passengers travelling between Bihar and Karnataka, Indian Railways has announced an extension in the operational period of the Danapur-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru Special Train due to continued heavy passenger demand.
According to railway officials, the special train running between Danapur and SMVT Bengaluru will now continue for an extended period, providing additional travel options for passengers, migrant workers, students and families commuting between eastern India and southern India.
With the revised schedule, the train will now operate daily from Danapur to SMVT Bengaluru till May 31, 2026, while the return service from Bengaluru to Danapur will continue till June 2, 2026.
The extension comes in view of the extra rush of passengers during the summer travel season, when trains on this route witness high occupancy.

Train number 03251 Danapur-SMVT Bengaluru Special will continue to run daily till May 31, 2026.
The train will depart from Danapur at 3:00 PM and after halting at various stations en route, it will reach SMVT Bengaluru at 2:30 PM on the third day.

Similarly, Train No. 03252 SMVT Bengaluru-Danapur Special has been extended till June 2, 2026.
The train will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 11:50 PM and will arrive at Danapur at 11:55 PM on the third day.
This return train will offer convenient travel for passengers from Bengaluru heading towards Bihar and neighbouring regions.
