India and US Join Forces in Tiger Triumph – 24 Humanitarian Exercise

In a demonstration of the robust partnership between India and the United States, the eagerly anticipated bilateral tri-Service Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise, Tiger Triumph – 24, is set to kick off on the Eastern Seaboard from March 18 to March 31, 2024.

This joint endeavor will see the active involvement of Indian Navy Ships equipped with integral helicopters and landing crafts, complemented by Indian Navy aircraft, Indian Army personnel and vehicles, Indian Air Force aircraft and helicopters, alongside the Rapid Action Medical Team (RAMT). The United States will also have a strong presence, represented by US Navy Ships carrying troops from the US Marine Corps and US Army.

The primary objective of Tiger Triumph – 24 is to enhance interoperability between the armed forces of both nations in conducting HADR operations. Moreover, the exercise aims to refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure swift and effective coordination during crisis situations.

The Harbour Phase of the exercise, scheduled from March 18 to March 25, will facilitate various activities such as Training Visits, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges, Sports Events, and Social interactions, fostering camaraderie and mutual understanding among personnel from both navies.

Following the Harbour Phase, participating ships, along with embarked troops, will transition to the Sea Phase. During this phase, they will engage in a series of maritime, amphibious, and HADR operations designed to simulate real-world scenarios and challenges.

Tiger Triumph – 24 stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of both India and the United States to bolstering their capabilities for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts, while further strengthening bilateral defense cooperation.
