Extra Rush of Passengers Prompt Indian Railways to Deploy 4 Special AC Trains

In response to the surge in passenger demand, Indian Railways has announced the operation of four special air-conditioned (AC) trains. The details of the services are as follows:

  1. 05290 Pune-Muzaffarpur AC Special – 2 Services
    • Departure from Pune every Monday at 10:00 hrs on 27.11.2023 and 04.12.2023
    • Arrival at Muzaffarpur at 17:30 hrs the following day
  2. 05289 Muzaffarpur-Pune AC Special – 2 Services
    • Departure from Muzaffarpur every Saturday at 21:00 hrs on 25.11.2023 and 02.12.2023
    • Arrival at Pune at 06:00 hrs on the third day

Halts: Daund Chord Line, Ahmadnagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deendayal Upadyay Jn., Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Patliputra, and Hajipur.

Composition: The trains consist of 17 Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches, comprising One First AC, Two AC 2 Tier, 11 AC 3 Tier, One AC Pantry Car, and 2 Generator Cars.

Reservation: Booking for these special services will commence from 25.11.2023 at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) centers and on the official website http://irctc.co.in. Travelers are encouraged to secure their reservations promptly to ensure availability.
