Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “Biparjoy” Gains Strength over Arabian Sea, Low Pressure Area Forms in Bay of Bengal

The Arabian Sea is bracing itself as Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “Biparjoy” (pronounced as “Biporjoy”) intensifies over the eastcentral region. Over the past six hours, the storm has been moving slowly north-northeastwards at a speed of 6 kmph. Meteorological experts predict that “Biparjoy” will continue to strengthen gradually over the next 36 hours. It is expected to shift its course to a north-northeastward trajectory within the next 48 hours, followed by a north-northwestward path over the subsequent three days.

Simultaneously, a Low Pressure Area has formed over the northeast Bay of Bengal, near the Myanmar coast. This formation is a result of a cyclonic circulation present over the northeast and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Forecasters anticipate that this Low Pressure Area will develop further and transform into a well-marked low pressure system within the next 24 hours.

As these weather systems evolve, authorities and coastal communities are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions. The potential impact of “Biparjoy” and the developing Low Pressure Area in the Bay of Bengal will continue to be closely monitored by meteorological agencies to ensure the safety and preparedness of the affected regions.
