CISF Apprehends Passengers with Forged Travel Documents at Delhi’s IGI Airport

After conducting investigations, the CISF informed senior officers of the Immigration and Intelligence Bureau. Upon further examination

New Delhi, 05.05.2023: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport has apprehended three passengers attempting to travel on forged documents. The passengers were identified as Mr Chavda Yashvantsinh Parbatsinh, Ms Kajalben Sureshji Vihol and Mr Manoj Kumar, all Indian nationals.

The CISF surveillance and intelligence team detected suspicious activities of the passengers, who were bound for Toronto and Bangkok on Air India Flight No. AI-187 and Thai Airlines Flight No. TG-332, respectively. The team intercepted the passengers and found that Mr. Chavda and Ms. Kajalben were carrying additional passports with fake visas. The third passenger, Mr. Manoj, appeared to be an agent receiving the forged documents.

After conducting investigations, the CISF informed senior officers of the Immigration and Intelligence Bureau. Upon further examination, immigration officials confirmed that the forged passports carried by Mr. Chavda and Ms. Kajalben had fake immigration stamps and working visas. The passengers’ original passports had genuine tourist visas.

The CISF subsequently handed over the three passengers, along with the forged travel documents, to immigration officials for further legal action. The incident highlights the importance of the CISF’s behaviour detection and surveillance measures at the IGI airport to prevent fraudulent activities
