Major Renovation Underway at Kopargaon Station with a Budget of 29.94 Crores

Kopargaon, Maharashtra – In a significant development aimed at enhancing passenger facilities, the Kopargaon Railway Station is undergoing a comprehensive renovation project with a budget of 29.94 Crores.

The renovation project includes several key components that are currently in progress, including the extension of the width of Platform no. 1, the relocation of quarters to create a more spacious circulating area, the construction of platform covershed, and the development of an underground sump.

Notable features of this ambitious project include:

  1. 12-Meter Wide Foot Over Bridge (FOB): A spacious and modern FOB is being constructed to facilitate passenger movement across platforms.
  2. Lifts and Escalators: To improve accessibility, the station will be equipped with lifts and escalators, ensuring ease of travel for passengers, including those with mobility challenges.
  3. Enhanced Circulating Area: The circulating area is set to undergo a significant transformation, creating a more spacious and efficient environment for passengers.
  4. Entry/Exit Gates: New entry and exit gates will be installed to streamline passenger traffic and enhance security.
  5. Parking Facilities: Adequate parking facilities will be provided for the convenience of commuters.
  6. Landscaping: The station’s surroundings will be landscaped to provide a pleasant and aesthetic atmosphere.
  7. Uniform Signages: Clear and uniform signage will be implemented throughout the station premises to assist passengers in navigating the facility.
  8. Additional Platform Covershed: To shield passengers from the elements, additional platform covershed will be constructed.
