Mumbai Division’s Vadala Road Station Set for a Transformative Makeover
Vadala Road Station in Mumbai is undergoing a major facelift with a committed investment of Rs. 23.02 crores. The ongoing redevelopment works aim to enhance passenger experience and modernize the station’s infrastructure.
Current Progress and Initiatives:
- Platform No. 1 ACP Cladding: Work is underway for the ACP cladding of Platform No. 1’s covershed and columns. Out of the total 200-meter frames, 75 meters have been successfully completed.
- Painting of Covershed: The painting of coversheds is progressing well, with PF-4 showing 80% completion and PF-1 at 20% completion.
- Valley Gutter and Downtake Pipe Replacement: The replacement of the valley gutter and downtake pipe is actively in progress. Notably, 150 meters of work on PF-4 has been completed, while PF-1 has seen 10 meters of completion.
- Toilet Reconstruction: The dismantling of the old toilet for reconstruction has been successfully completed, and the foundation work for the new toilet has commenced.
- Entrance Gate Foundation: The foundation for the entrance gate has been completed, marking a crucial step in the station’s modernization.
- Booking Office Renovation: A significant part of the renovation work for the booking office is currently in progress.
