Bhusaval Station Yard Augmentation Boosts Routine Overhauling (ROH) Wagon Depot Capacity

In a noteworthy development, Bhusaval Yard is undergoing extensive augmentation work at its Routine Overhauling (ROH) depot to enhance wagon maintenance facilities. The project, with a cost of 28.30 Crores, is progressing with significant achievements and ongoing efforts.

Completed Work:

  • Scrap Yard work accomplished
  • Successful completion of Store building and boiler room
  • Boundary Wall construction successfully finished
  • Civil and Electrical work completed at Electrical Substation
  • Renovation of Routine Over Hauling Office concluded
  • Pump House established for incoming and outgoing water flow
  • Extension Shed construction completed
  • Commissioning of Portal wheel lathe, truck, syn. Jacks overhead crane

Work in Progress:

  • Provision of pump in the pump room
  • G+2 Building: Finishing and electrical work underway
  • Black Smith Shop: Finishing, plastering, and electrical work in progress
  • Ongoing renovation of the Conference hall
  • Replacement of old water pipelines in progress
  • Replacement of old gantry rail in progress
  • Heavy-duty concrete flooring work underway
  • Commissioning of Oil Fire Boiler in progress

The completion of the Bhusaval Routine Overhauling of wagons (ROH) depot augmentation is expected to significantly enhance wagon maintenance capacity and improve wagon utilization.

In October 2023, the Bhusaval ROH depot achieved an out-turn of 466 wagons, surpassing the monthly target of 450 wagons.

Cumulatively from April to October ’23, a remarkable 3092 wagons have been turned out, showcasing a 14% increase over the 2713 wagons out-turn recorded last year.
