AIIMS Jammu Acknowledged as Leading Implementer of Mission Karmayogi Bharat

In a commendable recognition, AIIMS Jammu has been lauded as one of the top three institutes nationwide and the foremost among all AIIMS for its exemplary implementation of Mission Karmayogi Bharat. The prestigious accolade was bestowed upon the institution during a recent meeting convened by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Delhi on February 29th, 2024.

Chaired by Ms. V Hekali Zhimoni, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the meeting held at the esteemed National Institute of Health and Family Welfare witnessed the participation of distinguished figures including Dr. Dheeraj Shah, Director of NIHFW, and Mr. Shyama Prasad Roy, Secretary of the Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, among others.

Representing AIIMS Jammu at the gathering, Dr. Shaurya Darbari, Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, showcased the institution’s remarkable initiatives under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director, and CEO. Dr. Darbari emphasized AIIMS Jammu’s commitment to continuous learning and development, attributing its success to Prof. Gupta’s unwavering support in staff capacity building.

AIIMS Jammu’s unique approach, including the integration of Mission Karmayogi Bharat courses into its training programs, garnered praise. Dr. Darbari highlighted the institution’s conduct of in-house training sessions and group discussions post-course completion, fostering collaborative learning and skill enhancement among faculty and staff.

Since its inauguration on February 20, 2024, AIIMS Jammu has swiftly emerged as a top-performing institution, earning applause from officials for its success story. The dignitaries commended AIIMS Jammu’s model of effective capacity building and encouraged other institutions to follow suit in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a skilled workforce.

Mr. Shailender Slathia, Assistant Controller of Examinations and designated nodal officer for Karmayogi Bharat at AIIMS Jammu, expressed aspirations for the institution to become a course provider in the future. Leveraging the expertise of its faculty, AIIMS Jammu aims to contribute significantly to nationwide efforts in building a skilled workforce across sectors.

Mission Karmayogi Bharat, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2020, aims to enhance the capabilities of public servants and promote good governance practices. AIIMS Jammu’s recognition underscores the transformative impact of this initiative in strengthening India’s administrative framework.
