Railways Approves New Vande Bharat Express Between Bengaluru and Ernakulam

The Ministry of Railways has approved the introduction of a new Vande Bharat Express connecting KSR Bengaluru and Ernakulam, enhancing high-speed connectivity between Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The service will operate six days a week (except Wednesday) under the South Western and Southern Railways.

Train No. 26651 KSR Bengaluru–Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express will depart from Bengaluru at 05:10 AM, reaching Ernakulam at 1:50 PM. The return train, 26652 Ernakulam–KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, will leave Ernakulam at 2:20 PM and arrive in Bengaluru at 11:00 PM.

The train will have commercial halts at Krishnarajapuram, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, and Thrissur. Maintenance will be handled at Bengaluru.

The Railway Board has directed zonal railways to implement the service at the earliest possible date and to plan an inaugural special train if required. Wide publicity and immediate compliance have been instructed.
