Online application portal for online registration and information facility to “Divyangjan Passengers”

Delhi Division, Northern Railway is committed for providing user-friendly hassle-free services to Divyangjan Passengers of Indian Railways. In order to achieve this objective, Delhi Division has initiated an online application portal for online registration and information facility to Divyangjan passengers who intend to travel by Indian Railways. This application enables Divyangjan passengers to submit supporting documents through online platform, without coming physically to DRM’s Office, for preparation, verification and issuance of “E-ticketing enabled Unique ID Smart card for Divyangjan”. Divyangjan passengers will also be able to track their application status for preparation of Unique Photo ID Smart Card.

The Benefits of online application E-ticketing enabled Unique Photo ID Smart card for Divyangjan would be:

 This portal will enable quick online service for submission of application and tracking status of application.
 Submission of application by the Divyangjan passenger will be available on round-the- clock basis through online portal as compared to during office hours only at present.
 It would be more easily accessible and convenient to people who face difficulties in accessing public places.
 This service would render a digital way of serving the needs of Divyangjan passengers.
 The card number would allow passengers to have online reservation for train journey, availing requisite concession.
 This would bring more transparency to the system.
 This would help in putting one step forward in achieving digital India target

This application will drastically reduce the hectic process for Divyangjan passengers, of submitting the requisite documents at earmarked counters at DRM’s Office and tracking the status of issuance of e-ticketing enabled Unique ID Smart card for Divyangjan at the office physically.

S. C Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Delhi said that this portal will prove to be a milestone in providing hassle free services to millions of Divyangjan passengers who need not to come physically at earmarked counter at Divisional Railway Manager office. This system will help in upgrading to next level of digitalization of whole process of application submitted by Divyangjan passenger for issuance of E ticketing ID card.
