Northern Railway to Run Special Local Train Between Katra and Sangaldan from September 8

In a major relief for stranded passengers affected by incessant rains and flash floods in Reasi and Ramban districts, Northern Railway will operate a pair of local passenger trains between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) and Sangaldan stations for five days, from September 8 to 12.

The service will connect Katra with Sangaldan via Reasi, Bakkal, and Dugga stations, providing vital connectivity until damaged roads are restored. Officials said the initiative will act as a lifeline for passengers and ensure essential travel in the flood-hit region.
