New Stalls inaugurated at Anand Vihar Railway Station
Anand Vihar Railway Station (ANVT) in New Delhi is emerging as a multi modal hub with two Metro stations and ISBT in close vicinity. RRTS station on Meerut route is likely to come up shortly. Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation Ltd. (IRSDC) took over the ‘Facility Management’ of ANVT station on 1st March 2019. Within one year’s time span, IRSDC has brought a paradigm shift in terms of passenger facilities operational at the station premises. IRSDC is committed to redevelop this station into a world class station with 24 x 7 excellent passenger amenities.
As on today, 12th March 2020, 15 catering/food stalls are operational at ANVT station premises, on platform no. 4/5 – 3 food stalls, platform no. 2/3 – 3 food stalls, platform no. 1 – 2 food stalls, at circulating area – 2 food stalls, on first floor – 4 food stalls and on ground floor – 1 Quick Food Joint. In addition to this, Fit India Squat machine is operational at ground floor, Health ATM is situated on the first floor, Mobile Phone Charging kiosk is also at the first floor and a philanthropic book stall is on the first floor of the station. Also, Dava Dost- a medicine shop is now operating at the ground floor, Massage kiosk is on the first floor and Waiting Lounge has been made operational at the first floor.
Adding to the already existing passenger facilities, MD & CEO, IRSDC, S.K. Lohia and FSSAI Chairperson, Rita Teaotia inaugurated six more catering/food stalls today, i.e. on 12/03/2020. On platform no. 1 – 1 food stall, on platform no. 2/3 – 2 food stalls, on platform no. 4/5 – 2 food stalls and at circulating area – 1 food stall.
To facilitate passengers to safely store their luggage, a ‘Digicloak’ was also inaugurated today. A passenger can digitally book a locker for 24 hours/ 1 day for just Rs. 30/- and can safely store luggage.
While inaugurating the above passenger facilities at ANVT, MD & CEO, IRSDC, S.K. Lohia said “Here at ANVT, IRSDC is offering passengers a wholesome travelling experience.
