Kapil Dev hospitalised with chest pain, undergoes angioplasty

India’s first World Cup-winning cricket captain Kapil Dev was admitted to a hospital in the national capital after he complained of chest pain.

According to the hospital, an emergency coronary angioplasty was performed on him on Thursday and then transferred to the ICU.

The condition of Kapil Dev, 62, was stabled and is likely to be discharged in a couple of days, the hospital said in a statement.
