Kalka-Shimla train resumes operation after seven months

The Kalka-Shimla train resumed operations on Wednesday, after a gap of seven months when the service was suspended in view of the coronavirus induced lockdown.

The tain chugged off from Kalla at 12.10 pm and is scheduled to reach Shimla at 5.20 pm. From Thursday, the train will originate from Shimla at 10:40 am and reach Kalka at 16:10 pm.

In view of the Delhi-Kalka Shatabdi Express resuming service for the festive season and the scenic Kalka-Shimla train journey thrown open to public, this hilly section would be definitely attracting more tourists.
