IRCTC Launches “Swarnim Bharat Yatra” Tourist Train from Delhi on August 14

New Delhi, July 22 – On the eve of Independence Day, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is set to flag off a special tourist train – Swarnim Bharat Yatra – to commemorate India’s freedom struggle. The 10-day (9 nights/10 days) journey will begin on August 14, 2025, from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station aboard the state-of-the-art Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train.

This unique tour will cover iconic locations tied to India’s Independence movement and cultural heritage, including Ahmedabad, Modhera, Patan, Statue of Unity (Kevadia), Pune, Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga, Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), Ellora, Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, Ajanta, Orchha, and Jhansi.

The train features 1st AC, 2nd AC, and 3rd AC coaches, accommodating up to 150 passengers with modern amenities like restaurants, a modern kitchen, shower cubicles, sensor-based washrooms, foot massagers, CCTV surveillance, and security guards in each coach.

  • Modhera Sun Temple and Rani ki Vav in Patan

  • Statue of Unity and Sardar Sarovar Dam in Kevadia
