Docs of Hindu Rao Hospital take out a candle protest over pending salary, AAP joins in

New Delhi, Doctors of the Hindu Rao Hospital under the North Delhi Municipal Corporation took out a candle protest on Friday against the BJP-ruled civic body for not paying their salary for last several months.

The doctors have protested and demanded that the civic body immediately release their salary pending for the last six months. Senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and its MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak also joined the protest in solidarity with the doctors.

“The AAP government had proposed to the MCD that if they are not able to pay the salaries of the doctors and cannot run the hospitals, then the BJP should handover these hospitals to the Delhi government,” he said.

“I want to tell the MCD that when you were ready to give the responsibility of these hospitals to the Central Government, then why can’t you handover these hospitals to the Delhi government despite assurance from the Delhi CM. This is a very inhuman act and it is an act of disrespecting the people of Delhi. The AAP demands that the BJP should resign from the MCD and hand it over to the Delhi government. Delhi government will show these hospitals by running them better,” Pathak added.

Apart from Durgesh Pathak, the Leader of Opposition of North MCD Vikas Goyal and Aam Aadmi Party councillors were also present in the rally
