20 Pairs of Holi special Trains having 430 trips to clear the rush
20 PAIRS OF HOLI SPECIAL TRAINS HAVING 430 TRIPS TO CLEAR THE RUSH
General Manager, Northern Railway Rajiv Chaudhry, reviewed the Holi Rush arrangement being made by Northern Railway to clear extra rush of passengers during ensuing Holi Festival in a meeting held at Northern Railway’s Headquarters Office, Baroda House, New Delhi on 02.03.2020. Principal Heads of Department of Northern Railway were also present on the occasion to discuss various arrangements being done by Northern Railway during Holi Festival.
Speaking on the occasion General Manager, Northern Railway said that this year, Northern Railway is running 20 pairs of Holi Special trains having 430 trips overall as compared to last years 19 special trains with 324 trips. In addition to that 32 trains have already been augmented during Holi Festival period to meet the demand.
General Manager, Northern Railway instructed all the officers to monitor the Holi Rush arrangement being done for passengers and ensure timely running of special trains to various destination from Delhi area to East and other parts of India.
For the convenience of the rail passengers and to clear extra rush of passengers during Holi, various Holi Special trains have been announced to run from Anand Vihar Terminal to Patna, Gaya, Lucknow, Kamakhaya, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, New Delhi to Varanasi & Barauni, Bathinda-Varanasi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Varanasi-Nagaldam-Lucknow, Hazrat Nizamuddin-Lucknow/Pune, Saharanpur-Ambala, Chandigarh-Gorakhpur, Lucknow-Kolkatta and a Daily MEMU Special train to run between Ghaziabad & Aligarh Jn.
