The project has been approved at a cost of ₹ 223.6 crore and will see the station transformed into a state-of-the-art facility that is in line with global standards.
The redevelopment project includes the construction of integrated Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) to connect both sides of the station, making it easy for passengers to move around. The waiting area at the station will also be expanded and spread across 2440 sq. meters, providing ample space for passengers to wait comfortably for their trains.
