Two Fake Ticket Checkers Arrested in Tripura for Impersonation on Kumarghat-Agartala Rail Section
Two individuals, posing as ticket checkers, were arrested by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Tripura for conducting fake ticket inspections on passenger trains operating on the Kumarghat-Agartala rail section. The accused, identified as Hussain Ali and Kaushik Sarkar, were apprehended by railway officials and sent to jail after being caught impersonating railway staff.
According to reports, Hussain Ali was found conducting fake ticket checks aboard the 05676 Dimapur-Agartala passenger train. The train was under the escort of RPF personnel Ajit Kumar Sarkar and Anjan Paul, who became suspicious of Ali’s activities. When asked for identification and authorization documents, Ali initially claimed to be a newly appointed ticket checker. However, he later admitted that he had no such credentials. A cross-verification with the Dimapur ticket checking master roll confirmed Ali’s fraudulent status, leading to his arrest and subsequent jail sentence.
Meanwhile, on the same rail section, senior ticket checking employee Subrjit Paul detained Kaushik Sarkar, who was also working as a fake ticket checker on the 05675 down passenger train. Sarkar initially stated that he had been appointed as a ticket checker but failed to produce any identification or authority letter. After being caught, Sarkar was handed over to the Government Railway Police, who registered a case against him and arrested him.
Both individuals are now facing legal action for impersonating railway staff and conducting unauthorized ticket checks, in violation of railway regulations.
