Training Session Conducted in Ramban to Enhance Electoral Process
Ramban, March 21: In a bid to bolster the electoral process and ensure adept handling of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) devices, a comprehensive training session was held today at the conference hall of the DC office complex. The initiative was spearheaded by the District Election Officer, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, aimed at empowering government employees with the requisite knowledge and skills ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The training session, facilitated by Master Trainers, was designed to equip participants with a thorough understanding of the functioning and operation of EVMs and VVPATs. Under the guidance of Deputy District Election Officer, Abdul Jabar, attendees were briefed on the roles and responsibilities of Presiding and Polling Officers, emphasizing the significance of their attendance at such training sessions.
During the session, attendees, including employees from various government departments, actively engaged in hands-on training to familiarize themselves with the operational procedures of EVMs and VVPATs. The interactive training aimed to enhance participants’ proficiency and confidence in handling these crucial components of the electoral process.
A similar training program focusing on the demonstration of VVPATs and control units was also conducted in Banihal, aligning with the broader objective of ensuring seamless and efficient electoral practices across the region.
