Tragedy Strikes Narela Industrial Area: Fatal Fire Claims Lives
In the early hours of June 8th, 2024, a devastating fire broke out at a factory nestled within the heart of Delhi’s bustling Narela Industrial Area. The Delhi Fire Service swiftly responded to an urgent distress call, reporting the inferno at H – 1249, Narela Industrial Area, Delhi, near Bhorgarh, at precisely 03:38/39 hrs.
A rapid deployment of 16 fire tenders ensued, battling ferociously to contain the flames and prevent further destruction. Amidst the chaos, four individuals were urgently evacuated to nearby hospitals for critical medical attention.
As authorities delved into the aftermath, the grim toll of the fire emerged. Tragically, nine victims were rescued and transported to SHRC Hospital, Narela. However, upon arrival, three of the injured were declared brought dead:
- Shyam, aged 24, son of Jagdish, succumbed to injuries sustained in the factory fire.
- Ram Singh, aged 30, son of Girja Shankar, suffered fatal burns.
- Beerpal, aged 42, son of Rajaram, also lost his life due to burn injuries.
The remaining six victims faced varying degrees of injuries:
- Pushpender, aged 26, son of Rakesh Sharma, with severe burns, referred to Safdarjung Hospital.
- Akash, aged 19, son of Kanhaiya Lal, also with severe burns, referred to Safdarjung Hospital.
- Mohit Kumar, aged 21, son of Raju Kushwaha, facing burn injuries, referred to Safdarjung Hospital.
- Ravi Kumar, aged 19, son of Jaikishan, sustained minor injuries from a brick.
- Monu, aged 25, son of Jagdish Narayan Sharma, with burn injuries, referred to Safdarjung Hospital.
- Lalu, aged 32, son of Bansh Lal Kushwaha, suffering from burn injuries, referred to Safdarjung Hospital.
This tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting authorities to launch a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the devastating loss of life.
