As of 0830 HRS IST on December 5, 2023, the storm is centered over the same region near Latitude 15.2°N and Longitude 80.25°E, approximately 40 km northeast of Kavali, 80 km north-northeast of Nellore, 80 km south-southwest of Bapatla, and 140 km south-southwest of Machilipatnam.

- The storm exhibits a current intensity near the center of 90-100 KMPH, gusting to 110 KMPH.
- Over the past six hours, “Michaung” has moved northwards at a speed of 12 KMPH.
