RPF Team Uncovers Firecrackers During Security Check at NDLS

An RPF (Railway Protection Force) team deployed for security duty discovered a suspicious bag during routine checks at the baggage scanner machine on the Paharganj side of New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS).

Upon noticing an unusual item on the scanner screen, the bag owner, identified as Vimal Kumar Yadav, was requested to open the bag for inspection. To their surprise, the security team found a packet of KR Flower-branded crackers containing seven Anar crackers and one Sutali Bomb.

The accused, Vimal Kumar Yadav, who was traveling to Rajendra Nagar on the Shramjivi Express, claimed to be carrying the crackers for the upcoming Chhath Puja celebration at his hometown in Bihar. The RPF team seized the recovered crackers on the spot, and Yadav was taken into custody. A case has been registered under section 164 of the Railway Act, vide number 5408/23, dated 16.11.23.
