Route Change for Vande Bharat Express: Safety Measures Amid Landslide Incidents
Indian Railways Diverts Train No. 22349/22350 via Barkakana-Muri-Ranchi Due to Landslides
In light of recent incidents of landslides caused by heavy rains at certain sections along the existing route of Train No. 22349/22350 Patna-Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express, Indian Railways has announced a change in the train’s path.
Effective from August 4th, 2023, until further notice, the Vande Bharat Express will now operate on the revised route via Barkakana-Muri-Ranchi.
Due to the occurrence of landslides and the loose stones and soil on the tracks at certain stations along the previous route, the authorities have taken precautionary measures and temporarily suspended passenger train movements on this rail section.
