Rajasthan CM’s Welcome Address Scrapped; Gehlot Tweets Five Demands to PM Modi Ahead of Sikar Visit

PMO Responds to Gehlot's Tweet on Invitation; CM Heartily Welcomes PM Through Social Media

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s welcome address during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sikar has been canceled, prompting him to take to Twitter and extend a ‘welcome’ to the PM. Gehlot utilized the platform to present five demands to the Centre, including a decision on caste census, rollback of the Agniveer scheme, and loan waivers for farmers, among others.

The PM, Narendra Modi, is scheduled to visit Sikar today to lay the foundation for several developmental projects in the state.

In response to Gehlot’s tweet, the official Twitter handle of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) acknowledged that the CM was “duly invited” with a slotted speech. However, Gehlot’s office informed that he wouldn’t be able to join the event. Despite the cancellation of his pre-scheduled 3-minute address, Gehlot warmly welcomed PM Modi to Rajasthan through his tweet.

The visit holds significant importance as it showcases the PM’s commitment to the state’s development and addresses the demands put forth by the Chief Minister.
