Railway Protection Force will be trained to control violent mob
Railway Protection force has decided to train its 182 personnel as a trainer at RAF Academy for Public Order (RAPO), Meerut
At present time unruly mob is causing heavy damage to the man and material / government property of Indian Railway. To control the unruly mob Railway Protection force has decided to train its 182 personnel as a trainer at RAF Academy for Public Order (RAPO), Meerut.
This training of Trainer course scheduled from 04/7/2022 to 30/7/2022 was inaugurated by Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police. On this occasion Akhilesh Kumar Singh address all the trainers and trainees and told them about this training keeping in view the present scenario of Public Order in the country. He also told to that after completion of this course all the trainees will become a trained trainer and will raise the name and fame of their force.
During the schedule of this course the trainees will be trained in crowd control, public order management, mob psychology, Police vs Public behavior, communal harmony, fire fighting equipments, new age weapons, special vehicles like vajra, Varun & fire tender, riot control drill, human rights, less lethal weapons / equipment /munitions and new trends in public order management. The trainees will also be taught about the latest case studies of damaging the properties of government specially the Railways by mob and how to prevent them. In addition to above all the train is will also be taken to the firing range for giving practical firing exposure of less lethal weapons & munitions.
It is pertinent to mentioned that Jyoti Kumar Satija Deputy Inspector general of Railway Protection force has recently visited RAF academy for public order regarding the conduct of the TOT course for Railway Protection Force personnel. During the recent time there has been many instances when the unruly mob has attacked the properties of Indian Railway and caused a great damage to Indian Railway. Keeping in view these incidents Indian Railway have been sent 182 personnel of Railway Protection Force to this institute for getting training related to Crowd Control. These trainees have been specifically selected from various zones & divisions of Railway mainly from Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi, Tinsukia, Howrah, Hyderabad, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Kolkata, jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Visakhapatnam and Mumbai etc.
Here it is pertinent to mention that due to the efforts of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, RAF academy for public order has been established which is the one and only riot control and public order management institute and it is being headed under the able command of Akhilesh Kumar Singh Deputy Inspector General of Police. On this occasion Sadaram Singh, Deputy commandant, Harish chandra Singh Negi, Deputy commandant, Neeraj Kumar Jha, Deputy commandant, Pramod Kumar Singh, Asst commandant, Govind Singh Negi, assistant commandant, Ajit Kumar assistant Commandant were present and Akhilesh Kumar Singh, DIGP has given a special thanks and best wishes to all the officers, trainers, and trainees for their bright future.
