Railway Minister Assesses Advancements in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Railway Station Redevelopment
In a comprehensive visit to Odisha, the Union Minister of Railways, Communications, and Information & Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, meticulously inspected the railway infrastructure in the Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar section. Emphasizing the significance of safety measures and efficient traffic facilities, the minister also delved into the ongoing infrastructure and redevelopment projects within the state.
During the inspection, Minister Vaishnaw underscored the importance of adhering to project timelines, urging railway officials to expedite the completion of infrastructure projects and enhance passenger amenities.
Subsequently, Minister Vaishnaw conducted a thorough evaluation of the redevelopment progress at Cuttack and Bhubaneswar Railway stations. Expressing satisfaction with the current pace of the redevelopment work, he lauded the efforts aimed at transforming these stations into world-class facilities.
Adding a cultural touch to the inspection, Minister Vaishnaw visited the Maniabandha handloom product stall at Cuttack Railway station, a part of the “One Station, One Product” scheme. The stall showcases the handloom products originating from Maniabandha Village in Cuttack District. During a previous visit to Odisha, Minister Vaishnaw had assured local weavers of establishing a Maniabandha stall at Cuttack station under the “One Station, One Product” initiative, a commitment now materialized during his recent inspection.
