Prime Minister Modi Shares Diwali Joy with Security Forces in Lepcha, Himachal Pradesh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi embraced the spirit of Diwali by celebrating the festival with security forces in Lepcha, Himachal Pradesh. In a heartfelt gesture, PM Modi took to Twitter to express his Diwali festivities with the brave personnel safeguarding the nation. He extended warm Diwali wishes to the citizens, stating, “देश के अपने सभी परिवारजनों को दीपावली की ढेरों शुभकामनाएं। Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali! May this special festival bring joy, prosperity, and wonderful health to everyone’s lives.”
Since assuming office, Prime Minister Modi has consistently chosen to celebrate Diwali with soldiers, either on the International Border, Line of Control, or Line of Actual Control. Over the years, he has marked the occasion in various locations, including Siachen Glacier in 2014, Amritsar border in 2015, Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh in 2016, and Gurez in Kashmir in 2017. In subsequent years, PM Modi continued this tradition, sharing the festive spirit with army personnel in different regions such as Kedarnath in Uttarakhand (2018), Rajouri in Jammu division (2019), Jaisalmer, Rajasthan (2020), Nowshera, Jammu & Kashmir (2021), and Kargil in 2022.
